Nationwide RoRo Skip Solutions
Managing high volume waste with standard skip sizes creates inefficiency. Multiple collections, rising costs, and project delays become unavoidable when your waste container capacity falls short of your actual needs. Roll on roll off skip hire solves this problem.
A RoRo skip is a large waste container designed for commercial and industrial waste on a scale that traditional skips cannot match. These heavy duty containers are delivered by a specialist lorry, rolled into position and collected once full.
We provide roll on roll off skip hire across the UK, offering one off hire for short term projects or ongoing scheduled and ad hoc collections for industrial sites with continuous waste streams.

Frequently Asked Questions
A roll on roll off skip, often called a RoRo skip, is a large-capacity waste container designed for commercial and industrial projects. It is delivered by a specialist lorry and rolled onto site, making it ideal for high-volume waste disposal.
The roll on roll off method refers to how the container is transported. A hydraulic lorry rolls the skip off the vehicle onto your site and later rolls it back on for collection, allowing safe and efficient handling of large waste containers.
Standard skips are smaller and suited to domestic or light commercial projects. A roll on roll off skip is significantly larger, typically 16 to 40 yards, and is designed for construction, demolition and industrial waste requiring higher capacity.
RoRo skips can accept mixed construction waste, demolition debris, scrap metal, wood, cardboard, plastics, soil and general commercial waste. Hazardous materials such as asbestos and chemicals require specialist disposal and cannot be placed in RoRo skips with other waste.
Roll on roll off skips typically range from 20 to 40 cubic yards. The most common sizes are 20 yard, 30 yard and 40 yard containers.
A 20 yard RoRo skip holds approximately 20 cubic yards of waste and is suited to medium-scale construction, demolition or manufacturing projects generating substantial but manageable waste volumes.
A 20 yard roll on roll off skip typically holds between 6 and 8 tonnes of waste, depending on the material. They can however hold up to 16 tonnes of waste if the material is heavy such as soil or concrete. Normally we would suggest a 16 yard roll on roll off for that type of material to ensure the road legal weight limit of the vehicle is not exceeded during transport.
If the RoRo skip is placed on private land, a permit is usually not required. If it needs to be positioned on a public road then permission from the local authority will be necessary. We can advise and arrange permits where required.
Roll on roll off skip hire requires sufficient access for a large specialist lorry. Your site should allow adequate clearance for delivery, positioning and collection. Our team can assess suitability before delivery.
