With capacity for approximately 110 to 120 black bin bags, it provides substantial space for managing construction debris across longer projects.This skip size is often used on larger renovation sites, commercial refits and major residential building works where waste accumulates quickly. It can accommodate materials such as timber offcuts, packaging materials, plastics, metals and general construction debris generated during site work.Because of its large capacity, the 12 Yard Construction Skip is particularly useful for projects involving multiple trades working on site. It allows waste to be removed efficiently while keeping the work area clear and organised.Hazardous waste, asbestos, electrical appliances, liquids and other restricted materials must not be placed in this skip. If your project produces large quantities of soil, concrete or rubble, an Inert Waste Skip may be more appropriate.If the 12 Yard Construction Skip is placed on private land, no permit is required. If positioned on a public road, a council permit will be required and we can arrange this during booking.For very large construction projects producing substantial volumes of waste, larger containers such as Roll On Roll Off skips may be more suitable.

Choosing the right size

Choosing the correct skip size depends on the volume and type of waste you expect to generate. As a general rule, it is often more cost-effective to select a slightly larger skip rather than risk overfilling a smaller one.

Skips must not be filled above the level load line. Overfilled skips cannot be legally transported and may result in delays or additional charges.

Permits

If the skip is placed on private land such as a driveway or garden, a permit is not usually required.

If it needs to be positioned on a public road or pavement, a council permit is legally required. We can arrange this during the booking process. Approval times vary depending on your local authority.

Safe Loading

Skips must be loaded safely and evenly, ensuring a level load.
