Choosing the correct skip size depends on the volume and type of waste you expect to generate. As a general rule, it is often more cost-effective to select a slightly larger skip rather than risk overfilling a smaller one.
Skips must not be filled above the level load line. Overfilled skips cannot be legally transported and may result in delays or additional charges.

If the skip is placed on private land such as a driveway or garden, a permit is not usually required.
If it needs to be positioned on a public road or pavement, a council permit is legally required. We can arrange this during the booking process. Approval times vary depending on your local authority.

The 2 Yard General Waste Skip is suitable for small clear-outs, light DIY projects and minor home improvements. It is often used for decluttering, replacing fixtures or disposing of general household rubbish.
It can hold approximately 25 to 30 standard black bin bags, depending on how the waste is loaded.
You can dispose of wood, plastics and metals, garden trimmings, furniture, packaging materials and general household junk. All waste must be non-hazardous.

You must not place asbestos, hazardous or clinical waste, paint tins, solvents, oils, liquid waste, fluorescent tubes, light bulbs or electrical items such as TVs, fridges and freezers in this skip.
