With capacity similar to 40 to 45 black bin bags, it provides additional space while remaining manageable on most sites.This skip can take steel, aluminium, copper, brass and iron. It must not be used for mixed construction waste or general household materials.Gas bottles, electrical appliances and fridges containing refrigerants are not permitted. Hazardous materials must also be excluded.If placed on private land, no permit is required. If positioned on a public road, a council permit will be necessary and we can arrange this during booking.For larger volumes of scrap metal, consider upgrading to an 8 Yard Metal Waste Skip.

Choosing the right size

Choosing the correct skip size depends on the volume and type of waste you expect to generate. As a general rule, it is often more cost-effective to select a slightly larger skip rather than risk overfilling a smaller one.

Skips must not be filled above the level load line. Overfilled skips cannot be legally transported and may result in delays or additional charges.

Permits

If the skip is placed on private land such as a driveway or garden, a permit is not usually required.

If it needs to be positioned on a public road or pavement, a council permit is legally required. We can arrange this during the booking process. Approval times vary depending on your local authority.

Safe Loading

Skips must be loaded safely and evenly, ensuring a level load.
