In the UK REMONDIS are a sector leading waste management company with sites in South Yorkshire and North East England. We possess unique regional and international expertise in waste recycling/recovery and our intention is to grow wider across the UK.
We provide an extensive range of skips, bins and vehicles to meet most requirements, providing a bespoke service to our customers. We guarantee exceptional service levels and strive to help our customers do the right thing with their waste disposal. We currently operate three strategically positioned Material Recycling Facilities (MRFs) which enables the efficient collection, receipt and processing of waste. Our business model reflects environmental best practice, as all waste we received is processed to ensure the highest possible levels of waste material is recovered, recycled or processed into Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF).
This means that we do not need to apply additional landfill tax charges as our business model is focused on achieving maximum diversion from landfill – currently 99% for all wastes that we receive. Our service provision is flexible, reliable, responsible and transparent with no hidden costs. The main purpose of the role is to identify new business opportunities and drive business growth. This should be achieved through working closely with the business development team to obtain new clients, and by fostering excellent business relationships to increase revenue from sales.
We are looking for a tenacious, passionate and positive Graduate to support our growing Sales/Business Development team in the North East of England. You will be responsible for identifying and securing new accounts directly as well as converting company supplied leads, developing and maintaining long-term relationships with customers, and maximising sales opportunities with them. The role is field based, but will require some time to be spent in our offices and / or working from home. As this is a development role, you will be work on a range of projects to directly support the Sales Director.
What we are looking for
- Any subject at either degree or masters level. Minimum of 2:2 achieved by September 2022 or within the last 2 years.
- A full UK driving licence achieved prior to your start date
- Legally entitled to work in the UK on a full time permanent basis
- To live or relocate to within 1 hour commute of our Bedlington depot
